FEAR OF EXTINCTION 7"EP OUT NOW !!!

Fear Of Extinction - s/t 7"EP
(Phobia Records 059)

Another d-beat / crust attack from Czech! Six raw dirty tracks from hell. Sounds like collision between Meanhwile and old Discharge with Crude SS sound. One time press only 500 pcs / shipping date from Monday.

Here´s the review of their demo:
FEAR OF EXTINCTION - Demo 2010
From the get go this is an absolute thundering demo with power that is hard to truly express, but will give it a shot anyway, the bass just seems to trundle through the whole demo as if a support for everything else but it just gives an intense sound of distorted power. Which is complimented by some heavy hitting drums and a noisey guitar which just drones with the bass to give the demo a distort dooming hardcore sound and to top it all off early Discharge style vocals which just makes this a fantastic demo, also comes with a patch and a sticker but thats not why you should get this demo it's cause it is deadly, the patch and sticker are an appreciated bonus with the demo.

The end of DIY overseas trades .....

Last week I got trade pack from Lucien (TTE Records) with 5 LPs in trade we made. I had to pay 523 CZK like tax due to new fucking laws which we have since 1.4.2011. So this time it was 4.4 EUR per 1 LP !!!

It seems that this is the end of "small" diy trades from overseas to Czech Rep.

Is there some similiar situation somewhere in Europe like in our fucking country?

"Funny" is that the total tax is counted from value of records PLUS shipping !!!! Unbelievable ... :-(. And final joke is I had to pay 180 CZK (apx. 7.5 euros) to Czech Post for their kindly services and help with customs. Shit! Fuck our fucking government!

And here´s the review from www.dbeatbeater.com website:

ELECTRIC FUNERAL / GO FILTH GO split EP (2011, Phobia Records)
Two Bands, Six Songs, One Noisey 7″. Electric Funeral are a band who I have been a huge fan of and since first hearing them, I have been telling people to listen to and after hearing this 7″ I am not going to stop any time soon. What I love so much about Electric Funeral is despite the power of the noise and distort everything is clear as a bell, which may sound a bit of an oxymoron, but its true everything is perfect. As always full of energy and air punching d-beat noise to keep ya tied over till their next release. Go Filth Go who I hadn’t listened to previously but these Greek D-Beaters bring some chaotic d-beat noise to the split with galloping drums, Disclose styled vocals and noise guitars and a more stripped down and raw sound, the same sort of raw feel as of 80′s Hardcore the type that only the Scandinavians can do, which gives the 7″ a more destructive nature.Check out all of the details after the jump. CROW / SEE YOU IN HELL split EP REPRESS !!!

It will be two years when we released this awesome split EP. Japanese metal / crust gods CROW with Brno´s devils SEE YOU IN HELL. Now it´s time for repress! We made 525 copies on sick clear milky wax. Get it or pay mega price later on Ebay :-). Below you can read some reviews ....

CROW/SEE YOU IN HELL split EP
What a fucking pairing of two ultra furious hardcore bands. Toykos hardcore veterans CROW need no introduction and play fucking flawless dark hardcore crust in the same style as their classic „Bloody Tear“ LP and more recent „Flock Of Beast“ 7“. Two songs of blasting raw metallic crust with gravelled screaming vocals. Fucking killer stuff. SEE YOU IN HELL play equally fucking raging hardcore that totally surpasses any of their previous releases. Two songs of fast „Burning Spirits“ influenced hardcore thrash with awesome guitar riffs and leads, gang choruses and intense pissed off burly vocals. Comes packaged in a special fold out sleeve with some cool artwork by Czech comic artist Milan Sodoma. Co-released by Insane Society Records and Phobia Records.
(Chris, Agitate issue 11)

CROW/SEE YOU IN HELL split EP
CROW, the man, has been incredibly prolific these days. New band KAIBOUSHITSU, a fairly new record for his psychedelic band DEATH COMES ALONG, and a handful of new CROW (the band) records! This release seemed to slip under the radar. One day I hear about it and a few days later I have it in my paws. CROW (the band) hails from Osaka, Japan, and while they began playing thrash that was recorded in a disctinctly lo-fi method, they have since become more metallic in their riffs and recording methods. The two tracks here are very similar to the records released by Prank within the past few years. For SEE YOU IN HELL, while, I’ve seen the name for years, this was the first I’d heard them. Holy. Fucking. Hell. Awesome and tight straightforward hardcore, with great guitar riffs and leads - will definitely check out their records next time I see them. To top it all, incredibly cool packaging: fold-out cover, great artwork, just wow... mandatory purchase here, folks!
(VL, Maximum RocknRoll issue 314)

CROW/SEE YOU IN HELL split EP
Wow this record should be labelled with a danger symbol. CROW and SEE YOU IN HELL come together for one hell of a raging 7“. The split with these two bands is pretty natural and seamless. Neither band needs any introduction. CROW has been hammering out their refined Japacore sounds since the mid 80s. Yes their sound has become a bit more refined and haunting and not nearly as DISCHARGE influenced as back in the day. And that isnt necessarily a bad thing. They have managed to keep their newer crust sound exciting and captivating. SEE YOU IN HELL is celebrating their 10 years anniversary and have also refined their sound over the years. The band is highly influenced by Japanese hardcore and lives and breathes every chord they play. The music is raw and ferocious and sounds like it is being played through some damaged amps. The overblown production adds to the bands thrashing madness. I am certain this is SEE YOU IN HELLs best material to date. This is a raging 7”. (CC, Equalizing Distort zine Vol. 10 issue 1)

PR 050 TOMORROW´S HELL - s/t EP

So after a short pause here I am with some look into the past. I think this seveninch is most uderrated one in Phobia Records history. So just read the words about from Krogh / attackfanzine.net (RIP):

TOMORROW'S HELL s/t 7"

The opening intro consists of distant church bells and thunder, taking its time to set a certain mood. Then after a minute and a half they hit us with raw and crisp guitars and launch an assault of brutal mid-paced crustcore. The vocals are those of a grunting beast while the guitars are sharper, penetrating the otherwise solid wall of dark rumbling this band puts forth on these four tracks. Tomorrow's Hell mix Warcollapse-styled crust with metallic riffs and a 90's käng-beat that appears when they up the speed. Sometimes the piercing leads can take over and drown out the otherwise killer guitar sound, while they at other times lifts the production when they're slightly more subtle and incorporated in the sound instead of placed on top. I guess the vocals could be brought forth some more as well.
I like Tomorrow's Hell, but I don't think I'd fully appreciate an LP until they've developed their sound some more as already on these four tracks it can be a bit stale and repetitive and too much routine in the song structures. Still, they've got a good Swedish influenced crust/d-beat thing going, but some more groove in the crust and more rage in the käng on their next output wouldn't hurt their chances of remaining in memory for a longer period of time. [Krogh - July 22, 2009]
